| Reason: Almost nothing is known about this rare species. It was collected once in Las Cruces in 1895 and has not been collected or seen anywhere since then although it is unlikley that much surveying has occurred. With not being seen in over 100 years it is unknown whether this species is even still extent and only having ever been seen once there is very little information on its range or habitat. The threats to the species are also unknown but the southwestern United States is rapidly warming and drying which may be negatively affecting this species. Currently this poorly known species is assessed as S1 in New Mexico however, more information is desperately needed and a reassesment should be done if more information becomes available. |
