| Reason: The Alma Caddisfly (Homophylax adriana) is a caddisfly using montane streams, it is only known from its type collection in southwest New Mexico. The population size and trend is not known though, efforts should be made to determine this. This species has an extremely small Extent of Occurrence and Area of Occupancy. Additionally, this caddisfly is known from one location, and will experience an inferred continuing decline in area, extent and quality of habitat due the western United States continuing to get hotter and drier due to climate change. Very little is known about the species’ ecology but as a caddisfly this species relies on water as habitat for the first stages of its life, extreme drought would result in the rapid extinction of the species. It is not known if the lack of occurrence data is due to the species’ rarity or lack of effort for collection. Until more information is available, this species is assessed as S1 in New Mexico. However, a reassessment should be done as new information becomes available. |

| Area of Occupancy: The full scope of the Alma Caddisfly’s range is unknown. The only occurrence data is from the type collection, which was made in 1961. It was found 18 miles east of Alma, in Bursum Camp, Catron County, New Mexico. It was found at around 2743 m in elevation (Denning 1964). There are no known observations in the last fifty years. | Threat Summary: N/A |
