General Description

Common Nighthawk (Chordeiles minor) is a medium-sized (22-24 cm) nightjar with long wings with white patches on the underside. They are distributed throughout much of the Americas. They are insect-eating summer residents of New Mexico that are most active in the mornings and evenings.
