Reason: Using all known historical points this species has an Extent of Occurrence of 113,704km2 and an Area of Occupancy of 30km2. However, when recent points are used from just the last thirty five years those numbers drop to 15,610 and 6 respectively. The same trend is seen in occurrences which drop from 21 to just four. Furthermore, the species is highly threatened and thought to be declining in New Mexico and throughout its range. If historical occurrences are used then the species is calculated as being S2 however, with recent data this drops to S1. In light of the large number of threats and reports of recent declines in the state the species is currently assessed as S1 however, a reassessment should be done if more information becomes available.
