| Reason: The Sacramento Mountains Coral Hairstreak (<em>Satyrium titus carrizozo</em>) is a poorly studied endemic butterfly, known from just three peaks in the Capitan and Sierra Blanca Mountains, within the Sacramento Mountain complex, in southern New Mexico. It has not been recorded since 1998, and it is though to be extirpated from at least one of the historic sites. Habitat loss due to climate warming and the risk of wildfire are the two main threats. As the remaining colonies are isolated from each other by a large distance, these threats are likely acting separately at each colony. As a result two locations are considered. One location is possible, as the colony on Sierra Blanca Peak, the highest elevation site known, has not been verified extant in over 50 years. Considering the presumed extirpation of the Nogal Peak colony, continuing decline in EOO, AOO, and locations has been observed. Because of the aforementioned threats, continuing decline in habitat area, extent, and quality is inferred. Therefore, the species is considered S1 in New Mexico. |

| Specificity: Unknown | Range Extent: <100 square km (less than about 40 square miles) |
| Occurences: 1 - 5 | Population Size: Unknown |
| Area of Occupancy: Only two occurrence points of this butterfly are potentially still extant although neither one have been observed in the last thirty years. These are on Sierra Blanca Peak and Nogal Peak and as a result this butterfly has an Area of Occupancy of 2km2 when 1km2 grid cells are used. | Threat Summary: N/A |
