Reason: Historically this species is extremely widespread in New Mexico which gives it a very large Extent of Occurrence covering almost the entire state at 273,072km2 its Area of Occupancy is also very large being 254km2 and it is known from a large number of occurrences. However, the species is highly threatened and thought to be declining both in New Mexico and in the rest of its range. As a result, the species is currently assessed as S3 in New Mexico however, a reassessment is needed if more information becomes available.
